Sover Travel - Three people smile at a table in a restaurant with a server walking behind them. The table has plates and a water bottle. The restaurant decor is ornate with mirrors and art on the walls.

Ivy Asia Brighton: Food, friendship, and too much decor

Read this before you scroll:
I didn’t get sober to be “healthy”. I got sober because I nearly died, in the sea at 6am.

So, recently, I booked a table at Ivy Asia in Brighton for two of my closest friends, J and A, who were finally going to meet. And honestly, it was like hosting the most important summit of the decade, the “Let’s All Be Friends and Eat Fancy Food” summit.

We’ve all shared history, good times, tough moments, and honestly, getting these two to finally meet was like the ultimate crossover episode. The vibe was genuinely heartwarming, and seeing them hit it off was one of those rare moments where you’re like, “Wow, maybe I am doing something right in life.”

Now let’s talk about the food. Was it good?

Absolutely. Was it the best thing I’ve ever eaten?

Maybe not.

✈️ Truth Bomb:
Sober travel isn’t boring. It’s intense, clear, and 100x more real.

🔥 “You’ll remember everything. And that’s the point.”
Chaos Note: Airports sober are boss fights. Headphones + purpose = you walk out alive.

But it was definitely a solid 8 out of 10.

Not too expensive either, which was a pleasant surprise because let’s be real, sometimes places like that charge you for the air. But the best part? The interior decor. Let me tell you—it’s so over the top that it actually works. You walk in and feel like you’ve just stepped onto the set of a movie where every wall, chair, and table is designed to make you go, “Whoa, this is sick.” Neon lights, golden statues, the works. It’s so excessive that it circles right back to being awesome.

“I booked my first sober trip off this site. It actually changed my life. I didn’t think travel could feel this alive without alcohol.”

But what made the night really special was the people. There’s something about sharing a meal with friends who’ve been through it all with you—good times, bad times, random chaos.
