Watching Rugby in New Zealand

Sooooo, picture this then chums – New Zealand, home of the All Blacks, rugby legends, and some of the most surreal stadium vibes you’ll ever feel.

I’m not a hardcore rugby fan by any means, but when I got the chance to see the Hurricanes play at that stadium (yes, the one where the All Blacks also destroy teams), I knew I had to go

First off, the energy there?

Mental.

It’s like stepping into a whole other world, especially with all the weird little jingles and tunes they play when someone scores. It’s got this odd American sports vibe but mixed with pure Kiwi rugby culture, which, honestly, makes it more fun. And it’s cathartic being in the crowd, with people so passionate about the game.

Even though I don’t watch rugby much, standing in that stadium, surrounded by fans who bleed rugby, was something else. There’s something about the atmosphere, probably the mix of beer, chanting, and just being in New Zealand, that hits differently. It’s one of those moments where you’re like, “Alright, this is special.”

So, if you ever get the chance to see a rugby game, make it happen in New Zealand, not the UK (sorry). It’s a whole other level of dope.
