My morning fix at Foodilic

Read this before you scroll:
I didn’t get sober to be “healthy”. I got sober because I nearly died, in the sea at 6am.

👉 If you think sobriety is boring, read the Manifesto.

For the past few weeks, Foodilic on Western Road has been my daily go to, and it’s safe to say I’m hooked. Thanks M…

One day I was walking along the street thinking, oh man, I need to stop going to Greggs and I turn around to go the along way, and M was there. Yes. Love that one

We had a chat and a chinwag about some stuff, including banana bread haha yesss. so I asked her where’s good and healthy because Greggs has done me in, and I wanna fill my body with some goodness (not that Greggs aint goodness) and she was like, don’t quote me on this, so I’m just gonna say it like how I perceive her

“bro, how about Foodilic? They always have banging healthy stuff in there and always looking healthy. And comon, who doesn’t love healthy stuff, you should check it out. Or not, whatever, it’s cool, don’t listen to me, I’m about to make banana bread. wadded”

That Is M, she’s so funny, love her to bits.

Chaos Note: Airports sober are boss fights. Headphones + purpose = you walk out alive.

Anywho, I’m gonna go on a little hype, and say if you’re anything like me, balancing recovery, fitness, and health, you know how important it is to fuel your body with the good stuff, and if you’v got some cash monies, Foodilic delivers every time. Their stuffed aubergine? Absolute game changer. Also, the I can’t remember what’s it Called oh yeah, vegetable moussaka, bangs too. I’ve swapped out my usual Greggs breakfast for their fresh, nutritious meals, and honestly, I feel so much better for it. And no doubt, I’ll swap back to Greggs in the next week once the ADHD interest loses touch, but until then, moussaka me baby

“I booked my first sober trip off this site. It actually changed my life. I didn’t think travel could feel this alive without alcohol.”

The staff here is always welcoming and friendly, which makes it even more of a pleasure to stop by each morning. There’s something about starting my day with a wholesome meal in a positive environment that sets the tone for the rest of the day. Especially if it BANGS

Whether you’re local or just visiting Brighton, I can’t recommend Foodilic enough (but only the mornings as that’s the time I’ve only been). It’s a spot where you can enjoy amazing food and can takeout, while knowing you’re actually nourishing your body.
