I didn’t get sober to be “healthy”. I got sober because I nearly died — in the sea. At 6am.

Dublin trip recap, here we go!
So last year, I hit up Dublin with my good mate Georgia and a bunch of the dutch girls I met back in Amsterdam, that flown over from the Netherlands for a convention. It was one of those trips that had just the right balance of chaos and chill. Exactly what I needed.

Straight up, it kicked off with some serious ink. Georgia and Stephanie both got tattooed while we were there, and honestly, the vibe was cool. There’s just something about getting tatted up on a trip that makes the memory stick with you in a way nothing else does. I didn’t get one this time, but watching Georgia go through the process— the nerves, the excitement, the pain, and then the relief — it was almost as good as getting one myself.

After the tattoo shop, I can’t remember too much, but I do remember Georgia and I went exploring around this spot close to Dublin. Wish I could remember the name of the place, but it was one of those days where we just wandered, didn’t have a plan, and that’s what made it awesome. We found ourselves by the coast, sun out, breeze in the air, just chatting about life, sobriety, and everything in between. One of those days where everything just clicks, you know?
It wasn’t one of those mad, nonstop tourist days, but more like a chill, soak-in-the-moment kind of vibe. Dublin’s got that charm where you don’t need a full itinerary – you just go with it, and somehow you end up in all the right places.
All in all, Dublin treated us well, and that day with Georgia near the coast was one for the books. I’ll be back, and who knows, maybe next time I’ll get some ink too!

“I booked my first sober trip off this site. It actually changed my life. I didn’t think travel could feel this alive without alcohol.”
